The All Progressive Congress (APC) has won all the 25 state assembly seats just as the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, was also re-elected to represent Kabba/Bunu state constituency.
Kolawole, a candidate of the All Progressives Congress, was declared winner after polling 17,248 votes to beat his closest rival, Mr. Alfred Bello of PDP, who scored 9,337 votes; followed by Mr. Aiyenale Fred of ADC, who netted 2,172 votes.
The Returning Officer, Dr Kizito Sunday, who declared the results at the INEC Collation Centre in Kabba on Sunday said Kolawole scored a total votes of 17, 248 to beat his closest rival, Mr. Alfred Bello of PDP, who scored 9,337 votes; while Mr. Aiyenale Fred of ADC, scored 2,172 votes.
“Mathew Kolawole is therefore returned as duly elected, having scored the highest votes in the election,’’ Kizito said.
