The Kogi State Government has congratulated Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi on his appointment as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), representing the North Central geopolitical zone.

In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the government described the appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Ocholi’s outstanding record of academic excellence, professional competence, and commitment to national development.

The state government noted that Dr. Ocholi has built an impressive career spanning public administration, scientific research, policy engagement, and community development, stressing that his wealth of experience and multidisciplinary expertise would make significant contributions to the advancement of Nigeria’s tertiary education sector.

According to the statement, the appointment reflects President Tinubu’s confidence in competent Nigerians and further demonstrates the administration’s commitment to appointing capable individuals to drive the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The government also expressed pride that Dr. Ocholi, an indigene of Oganenigwu in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, would bring his experience and intellectual capacity to bear in shaping policies and programmes aimed at strengthening higher education through TETFund.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, according to the statement, expressed confidence that Dr. Ocholi would justify the confidence reposed in him by serving with diligence, patriotism, and excellence.

The governor wished the new TETFund Board member a successful tenure and assured him of the support and goodwill of the Kogi State Government and its people as he undertakes the national assignment.
