The Sokoto state police command has given a brief report on their investigation regarding Deborah Samuel’s death.
Deborah, who was allegedly accused of blasphemy, was beaten, stoned and burnt to death. Although the police, who moved to action as soon as they could, said they could find one of the key suspects who was part of the group that killed Deborah.
From the video that went viral, the suspect who’s on the run happens to be the same man who confessed to having set Deborah Samuel ablaze with matchbox he was holding.
According to the Sokoto police command, the young man is not a citizen of Nigeria; he’s from Niger. He came illegally and is causing chaos in Nigeria.
He said they haven’t given in because many people think he’s a Nigerian and Interpol will be called upon to assist in finding the suspect to face the law.
Recall that Deborah, a student at Shehu Shagari College of Education, was murdered by some group of people at the school premise some days back.
