Residents of Kogi Central on Saturday trooped out in large numbers to welcome former Kogi State Governor and frontline All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial aspirant, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, ahead of the party’s senatorial primary election holding today.
The atmosphere across the district was electrifying as party supporters, youth groups, women, community leaders, and admirers lined major roads and strategic locations to receive the former governor on his arrival.
The massive turnout, according to political observers and stakeholders, reflects the widespread grassroots support and political influence Yahaya Bello continues to command across Kogi Central and other parts of the state.
Many supporters described his participation in the APC primary as a major boost for the party, expressing confidence in his leadership capacity, political experience, and commitment to the unity and progress of the APC.
Yahaya Bello was among the aspirants recently screened and cleared by the APC National Assembly Screening Committee to contest the senatorial primary election.
