
The former governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has been elected to contest the Senatorial election in Kogi central after winning the primary.
Alhaji Bello scored 72, 399 votes to beat other two contestants.
Ibrahim Yakubu Adoke scored 319 votes to come second while Momoh Yusuf Obaro came third with 188 votes.
Meanwhile, the APC Chairmanship Candidate for Ajaokuta Local Government Area, Hon. Mohammed Haruna Ganaja, has praised the people of Ajaokuta and the entire Kogi Central Senatorial District for their peaceful and orderly conduct during the just-concluded APC Senate Primary Election.
Ganaja described the exercise as a demonstration of political maturity, unity, and loyalty among members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), noting that the peaceful atmosphere witnessed throughout the process reflected the discipline and democratic strength of the party in Kogi Central.
He also congratulated the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, on his victory at the primary election, describing the outcome as a testament to Bello’s leadership qualities, political influence, and the confidence party delegates and stakeholders have in him.
According to Ganaja, Bello’s emergence represents not only a victory for the APC but also for the people of Kogi Central who believe in purposeful leadership and sustainable development.
The APC chairmanship candidate called on party members and supporters to remain united and continue working together to secure victory for the party in the forthcoming senatorial election.
Ganaja reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC leadership and pledged to sustain grassroots mobilization efforts for the success of the party across Ajaokuta Local Government Area and Kogi State in general.
He further prayed for continued peace, progress, and political success for Kogi Central and the state at large.
