The Lawmaker who represents the good people of Yagba Federal Constitutency in the National Assembly, has decried how Kogi State has suddenly drifted to the State of Nature where life was Short, Brutish and Nasty.
The lawmaker was reacting to the spate of violence that characterized the Kogi State House of Assembly election held today 9th March, 2019, where the Kogi State Government unleashed terror on the people and described as most unfortunate, that Traditional rulers were cajoled and arm twisted into supporting the government that is bent on destroying our core values.
As the custodian of culture and tradition Hon. Karimi said one would have expected the Traditional rulers to remain neutral, lamented that they were caught up in the web of wicked politics.
The Kogi State Governor and his co travelers are hell bent on clinching to power at all cost lamented that the situation report in Yagba East is equally the same, as the People were terrorized, harassed and maimed.
According to Hon. Karimi, who was the leader of his pooling unit, said the Leader of the ballot snatching gang was arrested owing to the intervention of the men of Nigeria Police at the pooling unit.
Karimi said he was at the pooling unit as at the time of his arrest, when the hoodlum was arrested with pistol loaded with live ammunition. He said his gang were seen on bikes all over Egbe in convoy.
Hon. Karimi requested to know who and who are behind such group wondered why election would be reduced to the barrel of gun, said there is no need for future elections.
This according to him will make men who have the fear of God to do away with the charade called election in Nigeria.
