The Kogi Patriotic Fronts has described as unfortunate action of a faceless group alleging that the Ambassador Designate from Kogi State, Mrs. Regina Ocheni is not an indigene.
In a statement signed by Abu Johnson, President of the Fronts, lamented that an alleged senior civil servant at a Directorate level, one Mr Adam Umar Bako can engage in lying and damaging blackmail against a senior colleague simply because he couldn’t make the list of ambassadorial nominees claiming to be the most senior from kogi state.
According to the group, Mr. Adam knows very well that Mrs Regina is his senior by one year because he was just promoted few months ago.
The Fronts also alleged that MRS Ocheni hurriedly obtained state indigenship certificate because of the appointment whereas she obtained her Kogi state certificate of origin since 1997 (23 years to date) with which she was employed by Kogi state Government where she worked till her transfer to the federal civil service in the ministry of foreign affairs.
While lamenting that the Federal Character Commission circular can apply to somebody who was recognized as an indigene of kogi state by Kogi state government and employed into Kogi state Civil Service but rather transferred her records of Service to federal subsequently.
Because of lack of currency, they continue to refer to old circulars that have been overtaken by subsequent legislations and senate resolutions.
For instance the last senate passed a resolution during the appointment of a female appeal court judge allowing married women the option of claim of either state of marriage or birth.
More blackmailing is the claim that Mrs Regina never had a degree but only a HND certificate, whereas she was employed into Kogi state civil service with a Masters degree obtained in 2004 from a Federal University (Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka) accusing the federal civil service commission of wrongdoing as if blackmail can alter file records or remove her original certificates from her.
On foreign Service Academy training, many officers did not attend the training because of their entry point and qualifications since the training is for the newly employed.
For instance one Dr Amina a deputy director presently in Geneva with a few others were exempted.
Also one Mr N A Kolo on the list of 42 representing Niger was exempted from Foreign Service Academy Training.
The Fronts lamented the false accusation of Mrs Regina as being recruited on GL15 whereas she transferred to federal civil service on GL14 but passed promotion examinations to GL15, GL16 and GL17 all at single sittings – a directorate Officer who can not distinguish between recruitment into a Service and transfer to a Service.
The Fronts lamented that Adams and his co travellers have failed to understand that the Federal Civil Service Commission has power to approve transfer of service to GL 16 or 17.
The Front described the allegations Against Mrs Regina Ocheni as a write up written out of envy, deceit and blackmail to achieve his self seeking ambition instead of taking his turn, urged the public to Disregard the news item.
