All Progressives Congress National Woman leader,Hajia Salamatu Baiwa Umar-Eluma has applauded the recent bialateral agreement of $1.5 Billion between Nigeira and Russia aimed at reviving the moribund steel complex by President Muhammadu Buhari,as a watershed towards the accelerated industrialisation of the country
Hajia Salamatu Baiwa gave this commendation to Nigerian President during the inauguration of “Women Political Group Forum”, says his commitement to revitalising over three decades steel complex, with an agreement of $1.5 billion ,as the best thing that will happen to Nigeria and Kogi state in particular
She said President Buhari’s industrialisation program beginning from his desire to revive the steel complex apart from creating job opportunities for over 500,000 unemployed Nigerians, will complement the sister companies at Itakpe,steel rolling mills at Osogbo,Aladja,Katsina and Jos that are dependent on the operation of ASCO, into resuming production and bumper employement window for Nigerians
APC National Woman leader thanked President Buhari for considering the revitalisation of Ajaokuta as topmost priority of his adminstration ,saying it shows the political will and love for the people of Kogi state by the present administration
Mrs Umar Eluma urged kogites to support the re-election of APC adminstration under Yahaya Bello and Edward Onoja in the state,in view of the President’s preference to bring the state into the front burner through industrial developement
Mrs Baiwa said the re-election of the present adminstration of Yahaya Bello will guarantee peace,development and continuity in the state
She enjoined the women group to be proactive in every political activities at all levels, as that is the only way that will enable them take their place of pride in our society.
Hajia Salamatu Baiwa disagreed with those fanning the embers of violence and palpable atmosphere, has no place in the political developement of the state and Nigeria,while advising them to retreat
Similarly, she advocated for women as ambassadors of peace anywhere they found themselves,while warning the youths to shun political violence and embrace peace before,during and after the election
Mrs Baiwa assured the people of the state for been on the right part, to continue to support President Buhari and his lofty ideals of rapid socio-political and economic development of the state, by returning the present adminstration under Governor Yahaya Bello by November 16.
