I have been inundated with calls and messages following the circulation of a false report published by some media platforms, including ThisDay and Vanguard, alleging that I am dead.
Let me state unequivocally that this report is false, reckless and malicious. By the grace of God, I am alive, hale and hearty, and fully engaged in my duties as Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sensitization and Mobilization under the administration of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
It is both shocking and irresponsible that such a sensitive story was published without any attempt at verification. This baseless report has caused unnecessary distress to my family, friends, associates, and countless well-wishers.
I therefore demand the immediate removal of this false publication from all platforms where it appears and call on those responsible to cease further dissemination of this misinformation.
I further demand a full retraction and unreserved public apology within twenty-four (24) hours. Failure to comply will compel me to take appropriate legal action against all parties involved in the publication and spread of this defamatory falsehood.
I thank everyone who has reached out in concern and assure the good people of Kogi State that I remain committed to my duties and service to the state.
