A group in Ajaokuta Local government known as Concerned Ajaokuta Forum, has declared their support for the chairmanship ambition for Salami Abdulraheem Prince as chairman of the council.
In a statement signed by the leader of the group, Shaibu Ajimasi, said as youth president, Prince has demonstrated high level of integrity and purposeful leadership, saying that the Local government would attain accelerated development under his leadership.
According to the group, the Local government was at a crossroad and required someone with the requisite knowledge and capacity to turn the fortunes around positively.
They assured that if given the opportunity, Prince would bring his connections and expertise to bear by providing the needed leadership for the council.
Ajimasi stressed that the problem that has negate development in the local government is that of good leadership, saying that the council would be lucky to have someone like Prince to pilot it’s affairs.
They therefore called on the people of the area to key into the chairmanship ambition of Prince to bring about the needed transformation of the local government.
“He is a committed and selfless leader. He has demonstrated this as youth leader. As Liason officer to some of the multi national companies in the area, he was always advocating for the employment of our young people. This is another opportunity for him to do more.
“Let us therefore join hands with him to advance the progress of the council. The people and the local government would be better for it.
