Some aggrived members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have called on the former Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Chief Clarence Olafemi to decamped from the party to the All Progressives Congress (APC)
The spoke person of the group, Mr. Idowu William who led hundreds of his members to the resident of the former Speaker in Lokoja said Chief Olafemi should dump PDP for APC now for the sake of the Okun people.
According to him, Olafemi was maltreated by PDP National leaders of the party when he wanted to contest for Kogi west senatorial election under PDP unfortunately, the power to be in PDP denied him the ticket and gave it to some one that just decamped from APC to PDP.
He noted that when Olafemi was acting governor of the state within two months in office he brought rapid development to the entire state particularly Okun land by establishing College of Education in Kabba.
The spokeperson of the group lamented that the people of Okun can not continue to play the position of second fiddle any longer adding that they too want to by the next governor of the state.
