The Vice Chairman (North Central), of African Democratic Congress (ADC) Sen. Tunde Ogbeha has.said that the party’s rescue mission for Nigeria must be driven by collective resolve.
Speaking in Kabba on Saturday while formally unveiled the party’s structure for the zone ahead of the 2027 general elections, he described the unveiling as “a new chapter for ADC in Kogi West and Kogi State in general.
He reaffirmed the expulsion of Hon. Leke Abejide from the ADC, insisting that the lawmaker would not fly the party’s ticket in 2027.
Ogbeha urged party members to intensify grassroots mobilisation, adding that the ADC remains fully prepared to secure victory in the next general election.
“Our mission is to provide a platform where the voices of the people are heard and respected. We are committed to transparency, inclusion, and creating opportunities for every citizen in Kogi West,” he said.
The former senator called on community leaders to support the building of strong ward and unit structures, noting that true development must begin at the local level.
Also addressing the gathering, Sen. Dino Melaye said hardship had worsened under the APC-led administration, alleging that hunger, unemployment and insecurity had reached alarming levels.
He warned Hon. Leke Abejide against actions capable of causing discord in Okunland, saying the people were “patiently waiting for him at home.”
Melaye maintained that the ADC remained the only credible alternative capable of providing moral courage and the political will to reposition Nigeria.
He accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of failing in its primary duty of protecting citizens, adding that kidnapping and killings had continued unchecked.
In his remarks, the State Secretary, Alh. Musa Ahmadu, urged the APC government to purge itself of corruption, insisting that nation-building requires accountability and transparency.
He appealed to residents of Kogi West to register massively in the coming ADC membership drive, saying only strong civic participation could dislodge the APC in 2027 and restore the nation’s fortunes.
The well-attended ceremony had in attendance the ADC Vice Chairman (North Central), Sen. Tunde Ogbeha; Sen. Dino Melaye; Hon. Kingsley Temitope Ogga; State Chairman, Comrade Adaji John; State Secretary, Alh. Musa Ahmadu; former Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Alh. Musa Ahmadu; former PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Kola Ologbondiyan; and former Kogi SSG, Chief Mrs. Justina Abanida.
Others included Olayinka Braimoh, former governorship candidate; Alh. Bologi Yabagi, former Lokoja LGA chairman; Dr. Idris, former state lawmaker; as well as Amb. Joe Elebiyo, Chief Dayo Akande, Chief Adegboyega Kolade, Barr. Omoyemi Gold Olumudi, Dr. Idris Rufus Oluwafemi, Hon. M.O. Sule, Hon. Sola Ojo, Hon. Adamu Quincy and several other chieftains.
