The kidnapped of more than 300 students of Government Science Secondary School Kankara has brought fear and heartbreak to many Nigerians who reside in the North. Since the abduction of the students, the Nigerian government has been working hard to rescue the boys.
According to the Nigerian Police, some of the students escape from the hands of Boko Haram and they narrated their experience to the Police force.
Before the release of the students yesterday, a video was released by the Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shakau, revealing how tired and exhausted the boys were. One of the boys in the video lamented over the death of his colleagues that were killed in the camp. The leader ordered the federal government not to use any Military force in the rescue of the boys.
They requested that they want to negotiate with the federal government.
Hours after the video was released, the federal government went after the boys and negotiate with the terrorists. The boys were released and sent back home. In an interview with some of the boys, they revealed how they are been fed by the terrorists.
According to one of the boys, he said that they only eat once in two days and they drop their waste in the same spot where they are. It was a terrible experience for the boys over there.
Another student also narrates how they all suffered in the bush before reaching the camp of the terrorists.
Many National leaders have thanked the President for his brave action over the rescue of the Kankara boys. Also, all social media platforms are filled with praises and support for the Buhari administration. Also, the Nigerian Army and Police force wasn’t left behind as they were also acknowledged.
