In a groundbreaking move, the people of Ogori Magongo Local Government Area in Kogi State have pledged their unwavering support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming local government election, slated for October 9, 2024.

This unprecedented show of unity is a testament to the tireless efforts of High Chief Adesina Meka Silvanus, a prominent son of Ogori-Magongo and community leader.

Saturday, July 27, 2024, will be etched in the annals of Ogori Magongo’s political history as the day stakeholders spoke in unison, marking a new dawn in the politics of the area.

High Chief Meka Silvanus, as a mediator, delivered the goodwill message of Governor Ododo, soliciting support for the APC’s consensus chairmanship candidate, Hon. Maria Rosemary Ohiezu.

This move has sent a strong signal that the people of Ogori-Magongo are ready for a new era of progress and development.

High Chief Meka Silvanus met with the Council of Chiefs from Magongo and Ogori, assuring them that a new chapter has opened for the community.

He appealed for their support and cooperation, highlighting the unprecedented human and physical developmental strides recorded by the current administration.

The traditional rulers, in their response, pledged their full support for the APC candidate, acknowledging the governor’s efforts in transforming the LGA.

Chief Meka visited Prophet J.S. Eden, a renowned man of God in Ogori, seeking his support and prayers for the success of the endorsed APC candidate.

The Prophet commended the developmental strides of the state government and urged the government to prioritize policies benefiting the people.

He prayed for High Chief Adesina Meka Silvanus and the success of the APC candidate, Hon. Maria Rosemary Ohiezu.

The Ogori Descendants Union (ODU) National President, Engr. Gbemi Omole,was visited towards consultation to ensure the community throws its support behind the APC candidate.

He emphasized the need for unity and cooperation among the people of Ogori-Magongo.

With all indications pointing to a paradigm shift in the politics of Ogori Magongo LGA, it is clear that the people have united behind the APC, courtesy of High Chief Adesina Meka Silvanus.

This newfound unity is a testament to the power of leadership and the desire for progress and development in the area. As the local government election approaches, one thing is clear: Ogori-Magongo LGA is ready for a new era of growth and prosperity under the APC
