
Stakeholders from Lokoja/Kogi Koto Federal Constituency have reaffirmed their commitment to unity, inclusiveness, and sustained political collaboration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The resolution was reached during a consultative meeting held at the official lodge of the Speaker of the House of Assembly, where party leaders, community representatives, political actors, and supporters from across the constituency gathered to deliberate on common priorities and the future of the constituency.
Participants at the meeting expressed support for the continued representation of Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi in the Kogi West Senatorial District, describing his leadership as vital to the development and political stability of the area.
The stakeholders also acknowledged other political figures for their continued engagement with the grassroots.
Those recognised include Hon.
Danladi Aguye for Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar for Lokoja II State Assembly, Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani for Lokoja I State Assembly, Umar Adamu Mayaki for Kogi II State Assembly, and Hon. Aliyu Dauda for Kogi I State Assembly.
In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the stakeholders stressed the importance of maintaining cohesion and prioritising the collective interest of the constituency in order to advance the welfare of the people.
They further highlighted ongoing consultations at ward, polling unit, and community levels as part of efforts to deepen dialogue, strengthen grassroots participation, and ensure inclusive representation across the constituency.
The participants described the meeting as constructive and expressed optimism that the spirit of cooperation and mutual understanding would continue to shape political engagements within Lokoja/Kogi Koto Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 elections.
