One of the stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijumu Local government, Hon Sesan Ogungbamiwa has challenge the embattled Kogi ALGON Chairman and administrator of Ijumu local government, Alh. Taofiq Isa to resign his position or face the full wrath of the law and ijumu people.
Ogungbamiwa in chart with newsmen said that Taofiq Isa has flagrantly abused the law and throw caution to the wind in the course of pursuing his demonic selfish agenda, using the Ijumu Local Government resources to promote his campaign even when ban on council election campaign in the state has not been lifted
Sesan emphasized that for the administrator to have submitted his letter of intent to the party indicated that the State ALGON Chairman may be setting a bad precedence to have commenced an open campaign while the ban on campaign is yet to be lifted by the law.
Ogungbamiwa reiterated that for Taofiq Isa to have openly declared interest to contest the much coveted seat of the council chairman of the local government and his subsequent submission of letter of intent to the leadership of the party in the local government shows that he is desperate, hence he should resign his appointment as the administrator and stop using the funds accruing to the coffers of the local government to fund his campaign project.
Reacting to the official declaration of interest by Taofiq Isa to contest for the local government chairmanship, Otunba Shuaib Ipinmisho who is a co aspirant said that Alh. Taofiq Isa is not concerned about the peaceful accord of the people of Ijumu local government hence his declaration to contest the position of the council chairman is a brazen display of official arrogance which totally negates the oath taken while assuming office as the Chief security officer of the local government.
Ipinmisho noted that most of the people calling for the destabilization of the rotational arrangement in Ijumu to suit Taofiq Isa’s ambition are doing so under duress, according to him, Alh. Taofiq Isa had on several occassion threaten to sack some of the local government workers who are headbent on supporting his ambition.
Ipinmisho called on the commissioner for Local government, Hon Ozigi Deedat to monitor the unguarded movement and activities of the council chairman as he is on a mission to cause leadership crisis in the local government.
He further warned that Taofiq Isa’s greedy disposition at the corridor of power will have an unbearable consequences in the future, he advised him to take a bow and leave the stage when the ovation is razzmatazz.
