It was a moment of admonition, tributes, sorrows and tears on Friday, 12th March, 2021, as the remains of the former Acting Bursar of Kogi State Polytechnic, Chief Adebola Osho was laid to rest at his home town, Okebukun, in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area.
The final rites of passage drew dignitaries from far and wide, including members of the academia, associates, colleagues, friends and family members of the late seasoned accountant.
Pastor Peter Osawe who led the officiating ministers for the interment service, affirmed that every soul shall be judged by the work of his hands, adding that there is life after death.
Pastor Osawe added that living a life to impact humanity is the best way to end well in life.
In his tribute , the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, described the late Acting Bursar as a dependable ally, confidant and an exemplary seasoned accountant with tireless devotion to duties, adding that his demise was a huge loss to the Polytechnic community and humanity.
“The entire Polytechnic community is indeed heartbroken over the demise of such a committed, diligent, simple, intelligent and selfless seasoned accountant, who gave his all not just to the Polytechnic, but the service to humanity as a whole,” he stressed.
The Rector, however prayed God to repose his soul and grant his immediate family, associates and the Polytechnic community the fortitude to bear his sudden demise.
Late Adebola Osho died on 14th of February, 2021 in Lokoja after a brief illness.
He is survived by three children; Victor, Beatrice and Charles Osho.
Dignitaries that graced the burial ceremony of Late Adebola Osho include the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, his deputy, Dr. Kehinde Lamidi, the Acting Registrar, Mr. I.O.Z Raji, the Acting Polytechnic Librarian, Mrs. O. O.M Audu, the Acting Director of Works and Services, Engineer S.O Adanu, Professor M. S. Audu of the Federal University, Lokoja, as well as members of the Polytechnic community.
