Kogi State is experiencing a surge in federal appointments, with several indigenes landing key positions under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s leadership is being credited for this development, with many attributing it to his excellent relationship with the Federal Government.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is celebrating a major win for Kogi State with the appointment of Prof. Joash Amupitan as the new INEC Chairman. Prof. Amupitan, a proud son of Kogi State, is currently undergoing his Senate screening, and Governor Ododo was present to show his support. This appointment is evidence of Governor Ododo’s influential leadership and his ability to attract key positions for Kogi indigenes.

6. Chief (Mrs.) Folashade Ayodele Arike – Member, Governing Board, National Women Development Centre
7. Mrs. Dupe F. Olorunfemi – Board Member, National Directorate of Employment (NDE)
8. Dr. Muyi Aina – Executive Secretary, National Primary Healthcare Development Agency
9. Prof. Nasir Naem Abdulsalam – Managing Director, Ajaokuta Steel Company
10. Olumoroti – Managing Director, Lower River Niger Base Commission
11. Suleiman Baba Ali

Kogi Central Senatorial District
1. Hon. Bello Idris Eneye – Commissioner, Federal Character Commission (FCC)
2. Mr. Mohammed Sheidu – Executive Secretary, Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF)
3. Sen. Yakubu Oseni – Pro-Chancellor/Chairman, Governing Council, Federal University of Agriculture & Technology, Okeho
4. Dr. Halimat Abdulazeez Otaru – Member, Governing Board, NAFDAC
5. Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi – DG, CEO Energy Commission of Nigeria
6. Princess Atika Ajanah (Mamman) – Executive Director (Projects), North Central Development Commission (NCDC)
7. Momoh Jibril – Board Member, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN)
8. Abdullahi Bello – Chairman, Governing Board, Agricultural Research and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI)

Kogi East Senatorial District
1. Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu – Hon. Minister, Federal Ministry of Steel Development
2. Chief Edward David Onoja – Member, SEDC Governing Board
3. Hajia Maimunat (Maymunah) Eke Audu – Executive Director (Commercial Services), NEMSA
4. Hon. Gabriel Abutu – Member, National Boundary Commission (NBC)
5. Mrs. Felicia Ocheje – Board Member, National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA)
6. Engr. Abdullahi Ibrahim Oguche – Director (Technical Services), Rural Electrification Agency (REA)
7. Hassan Omale – Executive Director Agricultural Services, Lower Niger River Basin
