The Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja has adjourned the divorce case involving Super Eagles’ goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke and his estranged wife, Tosin Ojo.

The case, which was slated for hearing on Thursday, July 24, 2025, was expected to continue arguments on the divorce petition filed by Ojo.

Justice Ada, who is presiding over the matter, will now sit on the case afresh when the judiciary resumes for legal matters in October, 2025.

This development led to the adjournment of proceedings, causing legal teams and observers to disperse from Court 6.

Ojo Olorunleke had approached the court seeking the dissolution of his marriage to Tosin.

Surprisingly, despite being the petitioner, Ojo had earlier admitted to allegations of committing adultery with a side chick, Precious Daniel, a major ground cited in the marital dispute.

The said Precious Daniel who hails from Benue State is a model who now owns organic cream outlet in Abuja alleged to be financed by Ojo Olorunleke.

Observers say this unusual twist has added public interest to the case, which has drawn attention since it first came up.

According to court documents, Olorunleke’s petition is also based on claims of irreconcilable differences and emotional detachment.

Tosin Ojo and her legal counsel were seen at the court premises full of smiles as she walked out with a message, “see you in October”.

Football fans and admirers of the family have expressed concern over the state of matters between the couple as their over eight years of marriage which is about to hit the rock has been widely celebrated as a model for all upcoming marriages.

Our correspondent reported that both Ojo Olorunleke and Tosin Ojo hail from Kabba-Bunu LGA of Kogi State and interestingly, fathers of the couples who are staff of Kogi State Polytechnic are alleged to be age-long friends.
