In recent days, various unverified reports and politically motivated narratives have emerged, suggesting that the position of Chairman of Yagba East Local Government Area has been zoned to a particular district. As responsible citizens who are committed to truth, unity, and democratic progress, we the concerned youths of Yagba East firmly reject these rumours in their entirety.
These fabricated stories are nothing but the handiwork of mischief makers who aim to sow unnecessary division, distract the public, and derail the ongoing development strides being championed in Yagba East. Our people are wiser and more united than to fall for such deceptive partisan tactics.
The current Executive Chairman of Yagba East LGA remains the popular and legitimate choice of the great people of our local government — a leader whose performance, accessibility, and dedication to grassroots development speak loudly across every community and ward. The overwhelming support he enjoys across the entire LGA is a testament to his credible leadership and the confidence reposed in him by his people.
We therefore call on all well-meaning citizens of Yagba East — both at home and in the diaspora — to disregard these baseless zoning claims and continue to rally behind the leadership that is delivering real progress and good governance to our communities. At this critical stage, unity is our strength and development is our focus.
Furthermore, we extend our profound appreciation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, for his maximum support for the current administration in Yagba East. His continuous encouragement, guidance, and resource backing have significantly empowered the chairman to serve effectively and meet the needs of the people. We are confident that with the Governor’s ongoing support, Yagba East will continue to rise and flourish.
We encourage all stakeholders to remain steadfast, peaceful, and focused as we work together toward a stronger and more prosperous Yagba East. Let the will of the people prevail above the noise of detractors. Together, we move forward.
