On behalf of the Management and staffs of the National space research and development agency, (NASRDA), I wish to felicitate with you on your 80th birthday celebration.
Happy birthday and many happy returns sir. We as an agency thank God for giving you to our country as it’s leader at this time in our history. Your administration have set a clear goal vital to the next chapter of the Nigerian space story in space technology.
We want to assure you that the foundation you have built for us as an agency responsible for the space sector in the country is indeed what was needed to spur us in working assiduously to one day join the world when it is ready to send human into Mars and returning them safely to Earth, with the ultimate ambition to one day remaining there for an extended time.
During your administration, you layed the foundation for government partnership with commercial partners to build the needed relationship that would create the conducive environment for building of our own space new technologies for Exploration activities and this is exceptionally because it echoes with your vision for space exploration that place new emphasis on venturing beyond mars to finding ways to improve science, technology and Innovation in Nigeria by finding the next frontiers.
With your administration’s mantra of a revamped vision and commitment for space, we as an agency assure you, Mr.President that we will build on this vision and utilize the public-private partnership to help our country join other space faring nation to enable humans to live and work in space in a sustainable way.
We assure you also of our commitment as an agency to build a space sector that represents an essential part of our character-curiosity, and exploration, innovation and ingenuity, pushing the boundaries of what is possible and doing it before anybody else.
Finally, the space race shall be won to contribute imensurable and important technological and medical advances that would inspire a new generation of Nigerian scientist and engineers with the right stuff to keep Nigeria on the cutting edge because of the foundation you have built for NASRDA.
