Traditional Rulers who fail to deliver their domain in the forthcoming Presidential and National Assembly Elections have been threatened with non promotion and banishment from their domains.
The alleged threat by the Kogi State government was said to have been delivered to the traditional council members recently at the West Senatorial District Traditional and today at Yagba Area Traditional Council Area Council Meeting.
According to some of the Traditional rulers who would not want their names mentioned in print, lamented that this is a very difficult time for them, stating that until now, they have never been involved in open partisanship.
The Okun Traditional Council, Kabba and Ijumu Traditional Councils had recently endorsed the All Progressive Congress candidates ahead the forthcoming elections.
The Traditional Rulers however appealed to the government to insulate them from politics, stating that they are father’s to all parties in their political quest.
All efforts to reach Kingsley Fanwo Director General Media to the Kogi state government proved abortive as his number ranged severally but he didn’t respond to the call.
