The newly appointed Chancellor of
of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Onojie of Ekpoma, Barr. Anthony Ehizogie Abumere II has assured the management of the institution that he will work hard to ensure that his tenure will be marked as an era of innovation, rapid growth and inclusion.

The royal father who made the promised during the recent maiden combined convocation of the institution, said he will ensure that structures are put in place to ensure a university of global appeal.

His words, “Let me say without equivocation that we will collectively build a CUSTECH that will be source of great pride, not only to the people of Kog state but Nigeria at large. I want to assure you that i will work hard to ensure that my tenure will be marked as an era of innovation, rapid growth and inclusion. I will ensure that structures are put in place to ensure a university of global appeal

“I would Iike to commend the Chairman and University Counsel Members, Management, Faculty, and staff for their tireless efforts in nurturing the minds of our future leaders. Your dedication to academic excellence and innovation is crucial to the development of our nation. We salute your consistency, tireless efforts and diligence.

“To the graduands, it is a privilege to witness the cumulation of years of hard work, dedication and perseverance. Your achievement is a testament to your resilience and commitment to academic excellence. As you have passed through the crucible and today proudly stand on the threshold of a new chapter in your lives, i urge you to carry the value of integrity, innovation and service to the humanity that this institution has instilled in you. I offer my warmest congratulations.

Also speaking, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council, Emeritus Professor Olu Obafemi pray for the two students who lost their lives during the invasion of the institution by bandits.

“Our journey to this day was tragically scarred by an event that shook the very foundations of this university community. We remember with heavy hearts our two beloved students who we lost during the unfortunate kidnapping incident on our campus

“Their dreams were cut short, and their absence today leaves a void that can never be filled. We extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to their families. We pray for the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss, and we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to making this campus a safer haven for learning and innovation. Their memory will forever be a part of the story of CUSTECH.

He commended the visionary founder of the university, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello whose  dream to establish a specialized university of science and technology has given birth to this institution.
