The people of Omala constituency in Kogi state, have been enjoined to take necessary precautionary measures against the dreaded corona virus pandemic.
The member representing Omala in the state House of Assembly, Prince Collins Musa gave the advice while speaking with newsmen on the outbreak of the virus in the country.
The lawmaker particularly urged his constituents to take the governments directive as crucial by adhering to the ban on public gatherings such as religious and social occasions in the interest of all.
He said health is wealth and stressed the need for the people to embrace personal hygiene and maintaining social distancing principles in line with the recommendations of World Health Organisation.
Prince Musa commended the Governor for taking urgent and proactive steps to curtail the spread of the virus in the state and appealed for more efforts through making testing kits available at strategic points.
The legislator also enjoined the people to pray for God’s intervention towards bringing the ugly situation.
Prince Musa charged relevant stakeholders to do more especially in the area of sensitization at the grassroots to enable the rural dwellers have access to information on the Corona Virus pandemic.
