President Muhammadu Buhari is in a meeting with the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello at the Presidential Villa, Abuja over the All Progressives Congress’ presidential primary election.
The North Central Governor, who is a presidential aspirants of the APC was cleared to contest for the primary of the party but his hope was, however, short-lived as other Northern governors backed a southern candidate to represent the party for the 2023 election.
Although the APC Governors from the north have resolved that power should shift to the south, Bello has disassociated himself from the resolution.
The agenda of the meeting between the President and the Governor was not made known but there is an insinuation that Bello may discuss his decision on whether he will step down or not with the President.
