The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Ede Ayuba, Director DSS Mr Oluwatosin Ajayi, Commander Army Record Major General OO Soleye and Commander NNS, Lugard CMD AA Adesanya today Tuesday 19/5/2020 met with the both Leaders of Tijaniya and Ansarul Tijaniya Okene and warn them that any bridge of peace during Friday prayer and Eid prayers on Saturday will not be tolerated. As the security agencies are determined to deal with anyone who will not give peace a chance.
The Commissioner of Police further warn both leaders to maintain status quo and also talk to their followers to shun any form of violence within the central Mosque and Okene environments, since the State Government directed that status quo be maintained while the process for the selection continue.
He further stated that, if there is any crisis in the Mosque, both leaders should report themselves to the nearest Police station or be arrested for inciting violence.
The both leaders agreed to talk to their followers to maintain peace while the process for the selection lasted.
