The Special Adviser on Media to Kogi State Governor, Ismaila Isah, has described former Governor Yahaya Bello as the strongest political force in Kogi Central, saying he remains a highly valuable asset to any political party.
Isah made the statement on Wednesday in Lokoja while congratulating Bello on his victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election held in the state.
According to him, Bello’s emergence as the APC candidate for Kogi Central Senatorial District is one of the most remarkable outcomes of the party’s primary elections in Kogi State.
He noted that the former governor possesses the capacity to mobilize party supporters and inspire confidence across the district.
The governor’s media aide said Bello’s achievements while serving as governor continue to earn him widespread recognition among the people, describing him as the architect of modern Kogi State whose contributions to governance and development remain significant and enduring.
Isah also commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the leadership of the APC in Kogi State for providing a level playing field for all aspirants during the primary election process.
He urged political actors to emulate the party’s approach of consensus-building and wide consultations with stakeholders and aspirants, which he said contributed to one of the most peaceful primary elections conducted in the state in recent times.
Former Governor Yahaya Bello won the APC primary election for Kogi Central Senatorial District after polling 72,339 votes to defeat other contestants in the race.
