A Call has gone to Kogi State Stakeholders and Chieftains of the main opposition party The people’s Democratic Party (PDP) to take critical effort in ensuring that the forthcoming senatorial election goes to Yagba Federal Constituency in the spirit of equity and fairness.
The call was made by a prominent Yagba Youths interest advocate, Comrade Temitope Olufemi Daniel.
Comrade Temitope who Lamented the unfair treatment of the Yagba People by the party organs said that the senate should come from Yagba people this time around if they want posterity to be kind to them.
Comrade Timitope Lamented that the Yagba people are not slaves to Kabba/Bunu, Ijumu federal Constituency and can not continue to be at Mercy of the ijumu people.
The Comrade who enjoyed all PDP political leaders from Yagba Land to ensure that give their support only for candidates of Yagba extraction, warned that any Yagba political leader who engages in giving support to any candidates from Kabba/Bunu, Ijumu federal constituency would be doing so as a betrayal of Yagba agenda and prosperity would judge such a leader and his children.
He added that their children would eat from the same fruit of betrayals in future days to come.
“It’s on record that Senator Tunde Ogbeha took the part of Honor by stepping aside and allowing the Senate seat to rotate to Kabba / Bunu, Ijumu Federal Constituency”.
“It’s however surprising and disappointing that the Kabba/Bunu, Ijumu PDP leaders have shown greed with the Senate position a signal that the PDP is merely displaying the same attributes of selfishness and the party might be tolling the part of doom and self-destruction if there is any further attempt to retain the Senate seat in their federal constituency without following the part of Honor in allowing Yagba people to present their son for the position”
He further stated that If the PDP is serious with their desire to come back to power in 2023 they should consider and support the clarion call of the Yagba people for Senate
