Information reaching our news desk has confirmed the unwholesome and undemocratic conducts of one of the serving members of the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, (SIEC) Mr Funsho Olorunfemi who is hobnobbing with the ruling All Progressive Congress, participating in the activities of the party especially political meetings that is strictly for party members in Kabba/Bunu local government area, despite the fact that he is not supposed to be partisan.
This has brought to the fore  and confirmed the unwholesome activities of the electoral body which recently conducted the worst local government elections in the history of Nigeria Elections.
The member who continue to display his little or no knowledge about the rules and regulations as a member of an umpire will rather jettison morals and decorum expected of someone who is saddled with the responsibility of conducting credible elections that is expected to usher in good governance across the 21 local government areas of the state, but continued to parade his ignominy without any restraint.
It will be recalled that the major opposition party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and some faith based organizations have continued to raise alarm on the composition of the State Independent Electoral body wherein majority members of the Commission are seen to be card carried members of the ruling party which has made them not to release results of the said elections 7 months after the elections was conducted.
Some political watchers have described the activities of the SIEC member as barbaric and undemocratic, stressing that someone who has such a laudable task of preparing ground for the democratic growth in the country is flexing in his emptiness by parading himself as a member of a political party.
They urged Governor Yahaya Bello to sack him without wasting time since he prefers to be a politician and retrieve all items of the Commission from him and prosecute him for contravening the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as his undemocratic conduct is disgraceful and should not be condoned.
