The people of Ogori Magongo State Constituency have thrown their weight behind Hon. Bode Ogunmola, overwhelmingly electing him as the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer to return for a second term in the Kogi State House of Assembly.
In a letter of appreciation released on Thursday, Hon. Ogunmola thanked constituents, party stakeholders, and members for their massive support during the primary election, describing the outcome as a clear mandate for continuity and progress in the constituency.
The lawmaker said the victory belonged to every resident who stood for unity and development, noting that the overwhelming turnout reflected confidence in his record of service.
Hon. Ogunmola also expressed gratitude to former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello and current Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for their roles in ensuring a peaceful and credible process.
“It was never my personal intention to return as a ranking lawmaker,” he stated. “But God, in His infinite mercy, used our leaders, stakeholders, and the good people of Ogori Magongo to make it possible. To Him alone be all the glory.”
He lauded Alhaji Yahaya Bello for laying the foundation for a united APC in Kogi State and commended Governor Ododo for his fatherly leadership and commitment to fairness within the party.
The APC flag bearer pledged to redouble his efforts to justify the trust placed in him, promising to focus on impactful representation and attracting more development to Ogori Magongo.
Party stakeholders and ward executives across the constituency have been commended for their loyalty and unity, with Hon. Ogunmola saying their sacrifice remains the backbone of APC’s strength in the area.
With the primary now concluded, attention shifts to the general election as APC seeks to retain the Ogori Magongo seat and consolidate its presence in the Kogi State House of Assembly.
