The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo has described the former governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as his leader, mentor and father.
Governor Ododo in a personal statement issued on Wednesday thanked the former governor for the love he showed him when he lost his father.
He mentioned that the demise of his father is a reminder of where he was coming from and where God has used the former governor to take him Ododo today.
The statement read as follows:
“I write with a heart full of gratitude to express my profound appreciation to you, my leader for the uncommon love, care, and solidarity you have shown to me and my family over the passage of my beloved father.
“Your Excellency, you have never left me in doubt that beyond being my predecessor in office, you are a father figure whose guidance, support, and encouragement have continued to strengthen me in this journey of service. At this difficult time of personal loss, you stood by me as a father would for his son, and for this, my family and I are eternally grateful.
“The demise of my father is a reminder of where I was coming from and where God has used you to take me today. May Almighty God bless you richly and grant you the strength, health, and fulfillment to continue to be a pillar of support to us all.
