Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his decisive victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election, describing the outcome as a strong endorsement of the President’s leadership and reform agenda.

Governor Ododo said the overwhelming support enjoyed by President Tinubu during the primary election demonstrates the growing confidence of party members and Nigerians in his administration’s commitment to national development and economic transformation.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, the governor declared that President Tinubu’s reelection had become a “personal project” for the people of Kogi State because of the administration’s support for the state’s development aspirations.

According to the statement, President Tinubu has shown exceptional commitment to Kogi State through major approvals and interventions capable of transforming the state’s economic future.

“The Governor sees Mr President’s reelection as a personal project to unlock the enormous potential of Kogi State. Mr President has granted approvals for the establishment of an airport, a Free Trade Zone, an Agricultural Processing Zone and several other transformational projects,” the statement read.

Governor Ododo noted that the people of Kogi State would continue to stand firmly behind the President in appreciation of his support for the state and his determination to reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth and prosperity.

“For us in Kogi State, the reelection of Mr President is a reward for his love for the state and for the greatness of our nation. His economic reforms are reshaping the country and laying the foundation for long-term prosperity,” Ododo stated.

The governor further commended President Tinubu for pursuing bold economic reforms despite prevailing challenges, stressing that history would remember leaders who make difficult decisions for the future stability and progress of their nations.

He assured the President of the unwavering support of the government and people of Kogi State ahead of the 2027 general elections, adding that the state remains committed to the ideals of progressive governance, economic transformation and national unity championed by the Tinubu administration.

Governor Ododo also praised President Tinubu for participating in the democratic process despite being the National Leader of the APC, saying the gesture has further strengthened his popularity among Nigerians.
