Former Governor of Kogi State and Kogi Central Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) , Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as courageous and visionary leadership, saying the massive turnout during the APC presidential primary reflects growing support for the president’s 2027 reelection bid.
Bello made the remarks on Saturday after casting his vote at his polling unit in Okene-Eba, Agassa, Ahache Ward in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to the former governor, President Tinubu has demonstrated the political will needed to confront national challenges and reposition the country for growth and development.
He noted that the president’s first tenure has already laid a strong foundation that requires continuity and consolidation beyond 2027.
Bello specifically commended the Tinubu administration for ongoing infrastructure projects across the country, particularly the concrete pavement road construction linking Abuja, Okene and Benin.
He observed that successive administrations between 1999 and 2023 failed to execute the project, adding that the current government has shown determination in addressing long-standing infrastructural deficits.
The former governor also applauded members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Kogi State for their active participation in the party’s presidential primary election.
He urged party loyalists to remain united and continue supporting the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration for national development and progress.
