One of the suspects arrested for conspiring to kill a former speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has explained the reason why he is after Dogara’s life.
The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Umar Mamman said during the interrogation, the suspect attached Dogara to an incident that happened to him in the past.
Mamman explained that the suspect was looking for a rifle to buy because something terrible happened to him.
The suspect said that his house alongside those of others was burned during the last December 2021 incident.
Mamman said the suspect mentioned names of some people linked with the case in which the name of Dogara was included.
The suspect was looking for a rifle to kill Dogara because his house was burned down in 2021.
According to the report, Dogara said two police officers were conspiring with Barau Joel Amos who is a bandit to kill him.
Dogara had implored the IGP to ensure proper investigation of the matter.
