Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has promised to create more enabling environment for business to thrive in kogi state.
Governor Yahaya Bello made the promise when the leadership of Igbo Community Association from the whole 21 Local Government Areas of the endorsed him for his second term.
According to the governor, the Igbo are vital instruments in the socioeconomic & political development of Nigeria, hence, the need to support them in their businesses is Paramount.
Governor Bello maintained that Igbos are influential with the capacity to influence the political system for the victory of APC and urged them to intensify efforts in their support for his reelection.
He appealed to them to extend their support to their respective customers, saying the state government will look into their businesses especially the area of tax.
Earlier, the president general of Igbo Community Association, Mr Nwekwo E.N hailed Governor Bello and his Deputy, Edward Onoja for their pragmatic leadership styles in kogi state which saw people of other tribes including Igbo in kogi state government appointments.
He pointed out that the efforts of the state government in stamping out crime & criminality from the state remain unequalled in history of kogi state.
The president general of Igbo Community Association, assured Governor Bello of unalloyed support of all the Igbo in the 21 LGA of kogi state, saying arrangements have been perfected to vote en mass for APC comes November 16th governorship election.
In his speech, the deputy governor, Chief Edward Onoja chronicled the achievements of the present administration under the leadership of Governor Bello and enjoined the Igbo Community to support the state government in order to create more conducive atmosphere for their businesses to boom.
The deputy governor reminded them of the state of insecurity in kogi state before the Advent of the New Direction government of Governor Bello, pointing out that today, no kidnapping, no armed robbery and lives and property are more secured than before.
He admonished the group to key into the policies of the present government so as to enable them deliver the gains of democracy to the ordinary people.
