The Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr. Olumuyiwa Aina, has said the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is intensifying reforms across the health, education and infrastructure sectors to improve the welfare of Nigerians.

Dr. Aina stated this on Saturday during the “One Million Man Rally for the re-election of Tinubu/Ododo 2027”, organised by Dr. Muyi Aina Support Group which took place Muhammadu Buhari Civic Center Lokoja.

He noted that in the health sector, the administration has prioritised the revitalisation of Primary Health Care Centres (PHCs) nationwide through increased funding, improved staffing, and the provision of essential drugs and equipment.

According to him, the government has also expanded health insurance coverage under the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), targeting vulnerable groups and reducing out-of-pocket healthcare expenses for citizens.

He noted that the administration’s renewed focus on disease prevention and control has strengthened vaccination campaigns and improved responses to endemic diseases such as malaria and tuberculosis.

The NPHCDA boss added that the Federal Government is also promoting local pharmaceutical production through policies aimed at reducing dependence on imported drugs while boosting domestic manufacturing capacity.

Speaking on education, Dr. Aina said the Tinubu administration has introduced reforms to tackle longstanding challenges in access, quality and infrastructure.

He explained that increased budgetary allocations and targeted interventions are being used to rehabilitate dilapidated school facilities and expand learning opportunities, especially in underserved communities.

He further stated that the government is strengthening technical and vocational education to equip young Nigerians with practical skills required in the labour market.

Dr. Aina also highlighted the introduction of student loan schemes under the current administration, saying the initiative is helping to remove financial barriers to tertiary education and enabling more students to pursue higher learning.

According to him, partnerships with state governments and private sector stakeholders are also supporting curriculum development, teacher training and digital learning initiatives aimed at modernising the nation’s education system.

On infrastructure, he said the administration has continued to make significant investments in roads, rail, power and housing projects across the country.

He noted that ongoing road construction and rehabilitation projects are improving connectivity and facilitating trade, while rail expansion initiatives are enhancing mass transit and reducing transportation costs.

He therefore called on the people to rally round massively during the election for the second term of President Bola Ahmed Tinunu and the Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo.

According to him the performance of Governor Ododo in Kogi state is a testimony that he her performed well and deserved second term.
