Youth at Oforachi community located close to Idah Kogi state, on Friday killed four Fulanis.
Mr. Audu, a witness who spoke to Media said Fulanis had gone to a farm land, destroyed all the crops and killed a farmer who brought policemen to witness what they did right in presence of the policemen.
Angered by the killing of the farmer, youth killed four Fulanis in retaliation, while the policemen said they could not stop the killing of the farmer because they were not armed.
A community resident confirm that members of the community no longer sleep but are keeping vigilant to ensure Fulanis do not come and killed them at night in retaliation of their brothers that were killed by the youth.
Communities such as Ogbogbo, Odolu, Akpanya, that are close to Oforachi are now living in fear as a result of possible reprisal attack by the Fulanis.
Kogi state has witnesses different attacks in respective communities in the last five years, with Tarawi and Oforachi been the latest.
Early this year, gunmen suspected to be herdsmen attacked and killed no fewer than 19 people in Tawari community in the Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State, burning buildings, including the palace of the king of the community.
The Public Relations Officer of Kogi State Police Command, Mr Williams Anya, could not be reached to confirmed the development.
Worse still three weeks after, no arrest has been made and perpetrators of the crime moving feely while survivals and those who lost their relatives mourning with little or no support from the government.
Although the state has made promises to bring perpetrators to book, nothing seems to have been done to that effect.
