The Kogi State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has announced Hon. Enemona Anyebe as its consensus candidate for the position of State Chairman.

This decision was made by a committee comprising former governors and party leaders, who reviewed the conduct of two initial aspirants and deemed it necessary to opt for a neutral person to avoid escalation of internal crisis.

The committee also zoned other positions as follows:

– Financial Secretary: Idah Local Government Area
– State Publicity Secretary: Dekina Federal Constituency (micro-zoned to Dekina Local Government Area)
– Assistant Financial Secretary: Bassa Local Government Area
– Assistant Legal Adviser: Omala Local Government Area
– Ex-Officio: Anka and Ibaji Local Government Areas

The committee expressed gratitude to Kogi East PDP stakeholders and directed that the names of all consensus candidates be compiled and forwarded to the Committee Chairman for necessary action.

This decision aims to promote unity and reposition the party for future success.

Signed:

1. H.E Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, CON
2. H.E Capt Idris Wada
