Senator Sunday karimi, representing the kogi West senatorial district, has urged the people of OgoriMagongo to keep faith with President Bola Tinubu in his quest for national renewal and support his reelection bid in the forthcoming presidential election.

In his message sent through the leadership of the Muslim and Christian communities, Senator Karimi urged the faithful to use the Ramadan and Lent period to pray for peace and unity in the country as the nation draws close to the general elections scheduled for early next year.

He further urged the people of OgoriMagongo to support the reelection of President Tinubu to enable him to consolidate on several people’s oriented programmes that are on stream in his current tenure.

Senator karimi extended his regards and goodwill to both the Muslim and Christian faithful in OgoriMagongo as he donated several bags of rice to support them through the current fasting period. The gesture was also extended to chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the 10 wards of the area.

Senator karimi ‘s gesture has elicited widespread appreciation. Speaking on behalf of the Muslim community in Ogori, the Chief Iman, Mallam Ahmed Abdullahi Hamzat, thank Senator karimi for remembering them even though they are not within his constituency. On their part, the League of Imans in Magongo, represented by Alhaji kamarudeen Lawan, expressed gratitude for the gesture.

The Christian community represented by the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria( CAN ) in the area commended Senator karimi for the gesture and prayed for the success of both President Tinubu and Senator karimi in their reelection bid.

Speaking on behalf of the political class in the area, former chairman of OgoriMagongo Local Government and Leader of the APC , Dr. Mathew Keyi commended Senator Karimi for extending his gesture to the people of OgoriMagongo. He described his act as a turning point in the relationship between OgoriMagongo people and the people of Kogi West senatorial district.
