A Philantropist in  Kwara state Engr. Sunday Adebayo Babalola who is  the Principal, Kwara Panacea Ambassador has donated 2000 facemask  to the Kwara state technical committte on Coronavirus to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the state
While Presenting the the 2000 facemask to the Kwara State Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Technical Committee on COVID-19, Kayode Alabi in Ilorin, Engr Sunday Adebayo Babalola  who was represented by Mr Adegboye John Olawale, the Co-ordinator Kwara Panacea Ambassador  said the 2000 facemask was part of Engr Sunday  Babalola’s effort to  limit  the spread of the coronavirus in the state calling on all and sundary to support the state government in the fight  against the Covid-19 in the state.
He said   “we are currently here today in the office of the deputy governor of Kwara State who doubled also as the chairman of the Kwara state  technical committee on Covid 19, our mission here is to delivere unto the state government  committee a gift or donation of 2000 facemask which was created by our principal Engr Sunday Babalola because the state government has formed the  strategy that as from this point onward every citizen of Kwara that must be on our street must not go without covering their face such way to limit  the spread of the coronavirus as part of his own efforts he believes that this  advance the nation which is part of some of  the things he has been doing in  the distribution of palliative in other local government and  other areas, so we should support the government fight against the Covid-19 where ensuring that every Kwara citizen has the facemask,  we have started that by donating 2000 facemask by the special Grace of God, more donations and more part of philanthropy will continue until the state is finally ride of the novel coronavirus by the special Grace of God. At this point in time, I must be very emphatic and our principal communicated it in a very clear terms that people should stop criticising this government at this time, this is not the time for criticism, is not the time for politics, is not the time for careless attitude, this is the time for us to come together and wage a concerted battle against the novel Coronavirus that has the capacity to kill every human being including all Kwarans is not a time for politics at all let us put our differences aside we can now talk about our differences after we have completely defeated the novel coronavirus but for now, people should come out and contribute to this fight they should not criticise this government, we don’t need criticism now, that is the advice of our principal and I’m communicating that advise.”
Kwara State Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Technical Committee on COVID-19, Kayode Alabi thanked  the philanthropist and the group for the kind gesture as he noted that the 2000 facemask would go a long way in curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the state, he also expressed appreciation to everyone who has contributed to the fight against Covid-19 in the state
It would be  recalled  recalled that Kwara State Government while announced measures to curtail community transmission of COVID-19 pandemic in the state, directs residents without something specific and urgent to do outside to stay at home. The government also insists that anyone who wants to go out must use face mask.” insisting that the recent relax of the lockdown does not mean that the state was out of the wood.
Kwara now has 16 cases of COVID-19  as  six patients being discharged,
