Former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, has congratulated the member representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Leke Abejide, on his victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election.

Prince Kolawole described Abejide’s emergence as the APC candidate for the 2027 general election as a reflection of the confidence party members and constituents have in his leadership and representation.

He commended the lawmaker for his commitment to the development of Yagba Federal Constituency, noting that his performance at the National Assembly has continued to attract support across the constituency.

Kolawole urged Abejide to remain focused and continue delivering democratic dividends to the people, while also calling on APC members and stakeholders to unite ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Hon. Abejide secured victory across the 34 wards in Yagba East, Yagba West and Mopamuro Local Government Areas during the APC direct primary election held on Saturday.
