The Northern Youth Leaders Forum led by Elliot Afiso has urge the All Progressives Congress to honour the zoning pact as regards the Presidency come 2023. In a statement directed at North West Politicians, the group warned that no politician from the axis should attempt to compete or contest for the Presidency come 2023.
The chairman in the statement acknowledged that they are informed that there exist a pact in the party that the a candidate from the South Western part of the country should contest for the Presidency and Northern leaders have to respect that. They made reference to the zoning disarray that led to the downfall of the People’s Democratic Party back in 2011.
Also, they sent a strong advise or what could be called a warning to Goodluck Jonathan on rumors he’ll be contesting under the All Progressives Congress come 2023. The statement read;
“On the rumoured intention and interests by the former President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, we want to sincerely and categorically state that he should not accept any invitation to contest under any party because the north as it is now, would never vote for him no matter the indices.”
