Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has disclosed that no zoning of Presidency to the South under the All Progressive Congress (APC) come 2023
He made this disclosure while speaking to reporters over the weekend.
He said that everyone is free to contest and that the seat is not in any way allocated to the South.
His words: “If it’s the will of God for me to become president in this country at the right time, I will be.
I will record a vote that has never been recorded in Nigeria by the grace of God. But that’s not the issue right now; the issue is there must be Nigeria before we talk of 2023”.
The Kogi Governor’s explanatory statement further reveals why he actually concluded that no Zoning will be done in the party.
He boasted that if it was the will of God for him to become the next president, then he will definitely become the next president and that he will record the highest number of votes.
Moreover, if what Governor Yahaya Bello revealed is actually true, then this will surely be a disappointment to the southern aspirants who have defected massively to the APC to contest under the party.
