A Four day Shari’ah Intelligence Workshop organized by the Da’awa Institute, under the auspices of Islamic Education Trust has ended in Lokoja with a call for intra and inter religious unity in Nigeria.
The Coordinator of the workshop jointly sponsored by Jama’atu Nasril Islam and Council of Ulamau in Kogi State, Shekh Danjuma Khalid Ibrahim made the call at the closing session on Monday.
Sheikh Khalid stressed the need for more collaborations to ensure that Islam is practiced in tune with the Qur’an and the Teachings of Prophet Muhammad, SAW adding that there is no need to fight over religious matters. He called on Scholars to learn more about Islam to avoid pitfalls arising from ignorance.
In their separate remarks, Alhaji Tanko Talle of Kogi State Council of Ulamau and Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim of Kogi State JNI expressed gratitude to Allah for the opportunity to learn through the workshop and commended the Sponsors, Jama’atu Nasril Islam, Council of Ulamau and IET for their sacrifices.
They also commended the Facilitators, the Proprietor of Al-azhar International College Lokoja and the participants for their contributions to the success of the Programme.
The Course which also featured various aspects of Islamic Jurisprudence was facilitated by Sheikh Hamdani Abdullahi Yusuf, Ustaz Mu’adh Muhammad Ibrahim, Sheikh Ismail Abdulkadir and Sheikh Khalid Muhammad Danjuma Ibrahim.
Participants were drawn from the 21 Local Government Areas in Kogi State.
