The Maigari Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir, Maikarfi IV, on Wednesday has commissioned an utra-modern event centre owned by Alhaji Bala Haruna, the SANTALI of Lokoja.
The colourful occasion took place at the location where the edifice was built along Lokoja-Abuja Express Way, by NNPC, Feele, Kogi State.
While Commissioning the event centre, the representative of Maigari Lokoja, the Wakili of Lokoja, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Idris BabaAngo said due to the unfortunate incident that occur on the loss of a brother, Mallam Abdullahi Danjuma Bature, His Royal Highness couldn’t attend the ceremony, but however, he has sent him to be in charge of the programme.
He congratulated the proprietor of SANTALI venues event centre for siting such gigantic project in his indigenous and historic town, Lokoja, saying the event centre has added value to the growth and development of Lokoja local government area.
He therefore called on the Indigenes to take advantage of the edifice and patronise the event centre.
Earlier, the proprietor of SANTALI Venues event centre , Alhaji Bala Haruna in his welcome remarks, appreciated maigari Of Lokoja and all members of Lokoja traditional council, brothers and sister for turning out to celebrate him.
He said the new event centre is a world class afully air-conditioned, with enough packing space. You can hold cororporate events, training, Board meetings, adding that programmes like weddings or anniversary ceremonies could be held at SANTALI venues, he stressed.
SANTALI Venues Event centre as today been commissioned and officially opened for the use of the public, The beautiful and well finished Event center with the state of art facilities revealed itself as the most impressive edifice in Lokoja, with ample parking space for vehicles, stand by Generators, Gated compound and also the availability of maximum security.
He however appeal to the people of Lokoja to patronise the business, saying islamic programmes and marriage reception can take place in his event centre with discount of 30 percent reduction.
The chairman of Danko Development Forum, and Sadauki of Lokoja, Alhaji Bama Mundi gave the vote of thanks urging the well to do Indigenes of Lokoja to show love and kindness to their fellow brothers and sisters especially outside Lokoja, according to him, the rich should help those in need and ensure they did not suffer “, he stressed.
The chief Imam of Lokoja central mosque, Sheikh Aminu Shaban offered a special prayer at the official opening ceremony of the event centre.
