The management of Alhaji Musa Nasidi Mosque has donated Sallah Clothes and food items to widows, orphans, less. Privileged and vulnerable ones in Lokoja local Government Area.

The representative of His Royal Highness, Maigari Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir, Maikarfi 1V presented the gifts to the beneficiaries under the auspices of Musa Nasidi Masjid Foundation at Ungwar Kura on Saturday.

Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of Maigari of Lokoja, Mallam Gwadobe, commended the donor for the invaluable gesture, describing Musa Nasidi’s family as transparent and responsible children of Musa Nasidi”.

The Maigari of Lokoja said that the gesture came at a time majority of the people in Lokoja were finding it hard to provide food for their families.

The traditional ruler urged other indigenes of Lokoja to emulate the family and extend their hands of support to the less privileged people in the society, so as to alleviate their sufferings.

He explained that the wealth bestowed on individuals by Almighty Allah is meant to be shared and not hoarded.

The Maigari of Lokoja therefore stressed the need for rich lokojians to always assist their less privilged brothers and sisters, to alleviate their suffering.

He also called on our people at home and in the Diaspora to be united for the development of the area.

“It is only when the people of the domain are united that we can forge ahead and foster the socio-economic development of our local government,, kogi state and indeed Nigeria.

“We must all unite to bring speedy development to Lokoja local Government area, and to as well attract good things to the area,” he said.

Speaking earlier, the representative of Musa Nasidi Family/Masjid, Alhaji Musa Tanimu Nasidi while congratulating the Maigari of lokoja on his one year anniversary on throne, also commended him for his immense contribution to the growth and development of Lokoja local Government Area.

”Also, Your Royal Highness, I want to thank you for sending a representative to our yearly programme and we appreciate you for the royal blessings”.

Alhaji Musa Tanimu explained that Musa Nasidi Masjid foundation was aimed at improving the well-being of the less privileged, vulnerable and widows in Lokoja for them to cushion the hardship in the state and country.

According to him, “You’re welcome to the fifth edition of this year’s annual Sallah distribution of Palliatives to orphans, widows and the vulnerable persons sponsored by Late Musa Nasidi family/ Masjid Nasidi ummah”,

” The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did encourage Muslims to care for orphans and sponsor an orphan and cited great spiritual rewards attached to that noble act, especially during the festive period so than they’ll not felt the absence of their departed ones. Orphan sponsorship is not charity alone, rather investment in their futures for years to come.”,

“Initiatives such as Muslim Rose Welfare allow their sponsors to be involved in real change. We don’t need to be wealthy before we assist, we can do it with the little resources if you do, Allah would multiply it and reward us. It mustn’t be during Ramadan alone, “Islam significantly emphasizes the importance of orphaned children and asks oneself to provide them with due care through both the Quran and the Sunnah”.

Alhaji Tanimu further quoted the Surat in the Holy Quran saying, “The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also said:
(Sahih Bukhari)
“I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be in Paradise like these two,” and he gestured with his index and middle fingers together. (Sahih Bukhari)

“We must bear in mind that one day our children, grandchildren they’ll become orphans, definitely if you assist orphans during your life time, Allah will stand behind your children and grandchildren in your absence”.

He therefore called on the Muslim faithfuls on the need to invest in their tomorrow through sadaqatul jariya., commending the entire late Alhaji Musa Nasidi family and the Masjid committee for their untiring efforts and contributions to the success of this noble work, may Allah in His Infinite Mercies reward you all,May He forgive our parents and reward them with janatul-firdaus, accept our acts of ibadat ameen”.
