A Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Musa Terang raised an alarm that sensitive materials for the Saturday elections of all the 21 LGAs in Adamawa state have been diverted to Government House in Yola.
Musa who is a hopeful candidate from the opposition of Hong LGA worried over the improper conduct of the election slated to hold on Saturday.
“PDP are planning something fishy and against the democracy norms and tenets, we are reliable informed that all the sensitive materials have been taken down to government house, meaning they are only going to announce candidate of their choice.” He said
According to him only the non sensitive materials have been transported to various LGAs to divert people’s attention.
Responding to the allegation, the state Chairman,Adamawa independent Electoral commission (ADSIEC), Alhaji Isa Shettima refuted that the alarm raised by the APC candidate is false and coming from a baseless source.
Isa is reassuring the people of Adamawa state that election will be conducted tomorrow with all materials transported to all LGAs for onward distribution to wards and polling units.
“How unthinkable can people be,we distributed materials at the presence of all party stakeholders, security agencies and even the press men to various LGAs and someone will wake up the a day dream to say that sensitive materials has been taken to government House.
“Is government House a polling or a collection centre? Look I’m an experience civil servant that will never be part me. All i know election is taken place tomorrow in all the 21 LGAs.” Isa said
He call on the people in the state to disregard all forms of fake news regards the election as plans has been perfected to conduct a free and fair, credible and transparent elections.
