The family of the late Photojournalist, Ayo Aiyepeku, who was tragically murdered, said they have no association whatsoever with a recent report published on Sahara Reporters.
The report in question purportedly links the incident to His Excellency Chief Edward David, the former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, based on claims allegedly made by the family of Mr. Pelumi, the accused perpetrator.

For the Aiyepeku Family in a statement issued said:
“We want to categorically state that the assertions made in the said report are entirely false. The Aiyepeku family never had any meetings or interactions with the Pelumi Adebayo family, and we do not endorse or support their claims. We urge the public to disregard this malicious publication.
“As a family, we continue to place our trust in the Nigeria Police Force to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that justice is served in this matter. We believe that the truth will ultimately prevail, and the perpetrators will face the full weight of the law.
“We appreciate the public’s concern and support during this difficult time.
