On behalf of the Academic Board, Management, staff and students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, I deeply commiserate with the family of a former Bursar of the institution, Dr. Ujiya Abel Adamu, who passed on after a brief illness on Thursday 15th October, 2020.
I also wish to commiserate with the kinsmen, associates, the Bursary Department of the Polytechnic, well wishers and the good people of Ibaji Local Government over the unfortunate loss of such a dedicated public servant.
It is on record that Dr. Ujiya Abel Adamu left indelible positive marks in the Polytechnic while he served as the institution Bursar in Acting capacity from 8th February, 2006 to 24th January, 2008 and as substantive Bursar from 24th January, 2008 to 24th October, 2017.
Indeed, the entire Polytechnic community is in deep shock and sorrow over the sudden demise of such a diligent, simple, intelligent and selfless seasoned accountant who gave his all not just to the Polytechnic, but the service of humanity as a whole.
While his demise is hard for us to take, we remain consoled by the impressively immortal records of accountability that was the hallmark of his service to the institution.
It is our prayer that God in His infinite mercy grant his family, friends, well wishers, associates and the entire Polytechnic Community the fortitude to bear the loss.
May He forgive all the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him eternal rest (Amen).
Signed:
Dr. Salisu O. Usman
Ag. Rector
