The International Institute of Professional Corporate Entrepreneurship and Leadership (IIPCEL) has honoured Dr. Gabriel Aiso Osiwomequin with the prestigious Global Excellence in Cultural Heritage and Community Leadership Award during its annual Democracy Day celebration held in Jos, Plateau State.

Dr. Aiso, a Fellow Professional Corporate Entrepreneur and Leader (FPCEL), was recognised for his outstanding contributions to community development, cultural preservation, educational administration, and grassroots leadership.

A distinguished administrator, philanthropist, author, and public servant, Dr. Aiso currently serves as President of the Ogori Descendants Union (ODU), where he has spearheaded initiatives aimed at promoting unity, youth empowerment, socio-economic growth, and the preservation of the rich cultural heritage of the Ogori people.

The award citation highlighted his remarkable efforts in showcasing the renowned Ovia Osese Cultural Festival, an internationally acclaimed cultural event that has gained recognition from UNESCO, as well as his commitment to fostering community development through inclusive and people-oriented leadership.

Dr. Aiso has also served with distinction as Registrar of the Christian Faith Institute (CFI), where he played a significant role in strengthening educational administration, institutional development, and leadership training.

Holding a doctorate degree in Public Administration, he is widely respected for his dedication to public service and faith-based leadership. As an author, his published works include A for Apple, All Hands on Deck, and Relational Approach to Peace, publications that reflect his passion for education, leadership, and social harmony.

The IIPCEL Council, in announcing the honour, described Dr. Aiso as an exemplary leader whose contributions continue to inspire positive change and societal progress.

The award was received on his behalf by his wife, Mrs. Temitope Aiso, amid applause from participants at the Democracy Day event.

In a statement signed by the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of IIPCEL, Godwin E. Urhie, the institute congratulated Dr. Aiso on the recognition and commended his enduring commitment to cultural heritage preservation and community advancement.
